Our research team, consisting of meteorologists and students, researches the implementation of new technologies used in the monitoring, tracking, and warning of severe weather; the research team also uses various forms of weather monitoring instrumentation as a tool to help determine a weather system's severity, trajectory, and predictability. In the picture above, a probe is fitted with a 360 interactive camera and is designed to be placed in the path of an incoming tornado.
